Owen

A happy moan escaped my throat as I woke the next morning with Howie’s back pressed against my front. I felt like I’d had a full body massage—every muscle was loose, my nerves were calm, and I had a goofy grin on my face.

I didn’t want to wake him so I lay as still as I could and enjoyed the warmth. His feet were clasped around one of mine, like he’d held me in place through the night. I liked the way his body seemed to want me close. I pressed my nose gently into his hair and breathed in greedily.

Oops. Mistake.

The sexy scent made my cock swell from a gentle morning wood to full-blown erection. I gently wriggled my hips away to stop from stabbing him in the butt, but it was too late. Without moving another muscle, Howie reached around and cradled my dick in his hand.

I moaned into his neck and kissed his ear. “Good morning.”

“Mm. I’m glad you stayed.” He sounded sleepy, but he jerked his hand fast enough to make me gasp.

“S-so am I…” I bit my lip and growled as lust burned through me.

He rolled over and brought me into a sweet kiss. “Do you have time before work to—”

“Shit. Work.” I glanced at his alarm clock. “Nope. I had no idea we slept so late. I have to run.”

I took a last look at him and committed it to memory—his sweet smile, bright eyes, and stubbled chin. I’d think about it all day.

“There should be fresh coffee in the kitchen.” He propped himself on his elbows as I quickly dressed in whatever clothes I could find. I put on his shirt instead of mine, but he didn’t mention it and I’d be happy to have his scent on me for the drive home.

“You have a personal chef? Hire someone who comes by to turn on your coffee machine in the mornings?” I smirked. I couldn’t resist the temptation to take a jab at his income.

He chuckled kindheartedly. “The coffee maker has a timer.”

“Fancy.” I waggled my eyebrows as I turned around, looking for my jeans.

“Yeah, really fancy. It’s ten years old and makes some weird noses. But it brews a good cup.” He pointed out the door toward the stairs. “Clothes are in the library, if I recall.”

I bent down to kiss him and cupped his cheek. He gazed at me as I dragged my thumb over his sharp stubble.

“I want to see you again soon.” I was surprised to hear how certain I sounded. And a little shocked to find I really did want to see him again. If the night before had been any indication, I could deal with the therapy thing, no problem. And absolutely everything else about him was perfect. Maybe it was going to work.

“I want to see you too.” He took my hand and squeezed it reassuringly. “Very much.”

I kissed him again and hurried to the library to fetch my pants before I headed for the kitchen. He was right, the coffee maker was old, but it brewed a beautifully rich cup.
